TikTok Star Wins Hearts by Caring for His 88-Year-Old Grandmother
Matthew Stewart, a popular TikTok personality from Florida, is receiving an outpouring of praise for the love and dedication he showed to his 88-year-old grandmother, Bobbe. When Bobbe’s health began to decline, Stewart opened his home to her—going as far as building her a customized room to ensure her comfort and care. His thoughtful actions and her heartwarming reactions touched millions online.
For many, grandparents hold a cherished place in family life. That was especially true for Stewart, whose bond with Bobbe was incredibly strong. Wanting to give back to the woman who had done so much for him, Stewart made the heartfelt decision to move her in after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Alongside his wife, he transformed part of their home to accommodate her special needs.
In a touching video shared on Instagram, Stewart revealed the surprise to Bobbe by driving her to the site of their home renovation. As he explained that she would have her own private space, Bobbe was visibly moved. She teared up, deeply touched to know that she was loved and wanted. To make her feel even more at home, Stewart created a mini salon where Bobbe could get her hair styled after her favorite salon shut down. He personally acted as her hairstylist for the day, and the wholesome moment was captured for his followers—racking up over a million views.
In another touching clip, Bobbe saw her newly completed room for the first time. Overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion, she cried and struggled to find the words. Around the same time, Stewart’s family experienced a new beginning. In April 2022, he and his wife welcomed their daughter, Hadley, into the world. Stewart emotionally reflected that he believed Bobbe’s spirit lived on in Hadley, saying, “Losing GB was the hardest thing I’ve ever gone through. She was my rock. But I believe part of her was reborn in Hadley. We’ll always miss her, but I know her sass and strength will live on.”
Later that year, the Stewarts celebrated International Daughter’s Day with Hadley, expressing how much joy she brought to their lives. Fans even noted that Hadley, with her big blue eyes, bore a resemblance to her great-grandmother.
In April of the following year, their family grew again with the premature birth of twin boys, Asher and Aiden. Born at just under 34 weeks, the boys had to spend some time in the NICU. Stewart and his wife shared regular updates with their followers, celebrating each milestone as the babies grew stronger.
“We’re so eager to bring them home,” Stewart wrote. “Hadley can’t wait to meet her little brothers.” As the days passed, the twins steadily gained weight and learned the skills they needed, with Stewart proudly sharing their progress online: “These boys have made amazing strides!
