Clint Eastwood is a famous actor and director who everyone knows and loves.

He has won a lot of awards and, thanks to his iconic roles and work in politics, has been a symbol of masculinity for a long time.

The 89-year-old star doesn’t talk much about his personal life, but he’s had his share of relationships. He’s been married twice and has seven children.

But now, Eastwood has told a story he has kept secret for decades about how he is connected to one of his most famous movies.

The Hollywood movie star who has been around the longest was born in 1930 in San Francisco, California, during the Great Depression. One of his sisters is younger.

His father worked in the steel industry, so the family moved around a lot when he was young.

When he was born, people called him Samson, and he weighed an amazing 11 pounds 6 ounces. He got to be 6 feet 4 inches tall in the end.

Wikipedia says that after high school, he moved to Seattle and worked as a lifeguard until 1950, when he was drafted into the U.S. Army.

But what most people don’t know is that at age 21, Eastwood was a passenger on a Navy plane that crashed in the Pacific during World War II.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Eastwood said, “I was taking a free ride from Seattle to Almeda.”

“It was stormy, and we went down in the Pacific Ocean near Point Reyes, California. I ended up in the water and had to swim a few miles to get to the shore. I remember thinking, “Well, 21 isn’t as long as a person wants to live.”

Eastwood spent a few hours in the Pacific. He swam through kelp beds to get to shore, where he climbed up a cliff to call for help.

This helped him a lot when he was directing the 2016 movie Sully: Miracle on the Hudson, which was based on a true story and starred Tom Hanks.

The movie that won an award shows how US Airways Flight 1549 had to make an emergency landing on the Hudson River in 2009. All 155 people on board survived.

In the movie, Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger made the split-second decision to land the plane in the freezing Hudson River, which was later questioned by his superiors.

“I guess if I were in the same situation as the pilot, I would have risked a water landing instead of going somewhere with no runway,” Eastwood said in an interview with The Telegraph.

“And of course, Sully knew that area well…

he chose the right place…

He knew someone would see them,” the man went on.

Even though Sully’s landing was a miracle and he saved lives, it was what happened after that really impressed Eastwood.

Eastwood said, “Anyone who keeps their cool when things go wrong and can solve problems without freaking out is a person of superior character and interesting to watch on film.”

“But for me, the real conflict came later, when the investigative board questioned his decisions, even though he had saved so many lives.”
