Throughout his career, martial artist Chuck Norris has garnered immense fame, becoming a symbol of strength and amassing a global fan base.
With black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and judo, Norris is the creator of Chun Kuk Do, an American martial arts style blending traditional Taekwondo with other disciplines.
Beyond his Hollywood stardom, Norris is a devoted family man, raising five children with his wife Gena O’Kelley, a former model. Their enduring relationship of over 22 years is marked by Norris’s heartfelt expressions of affection towards Gena, a testament to their enduring bond.
In 2013, Chuck experienced the loss of his father to cancer, a tragedy that spurred him to take an active role in the fight against the disease. He has since dedicated himself to raising awareness and advocating for early detection and prevention measures, sharing his journey openly and addressing organizations nationwide.
However, Chuck faces his struggle amidst his efforts as his wife, Gena, battles illness. The ordeal began during a routine MRI scan in 2013, when Gena received a standard injection before the procedure. Almost immediately, she experienced tremors and a burning sensation throughout her body, baffling doctors who struggled to identify the cause of her distress.
The most challenging aspect of Gena’s ordeal was the medical mystery surrounding her symptoms, which worsened over time. “Within hours of the initial injection, I felt an intense burning sensation throughout my entire body, as if acid were coursing through my veins,” she recounted. “The burning began in one area but rapidly spread, leaving me in excruciating pain.”
Gena was confined to bed for five months, relying on constant IV treatments and round-the-clock nursing care. Throughout this ordeal, Chuck remained steadfastly by her side, sleeping on the couch beside her without ever leaving. “I prayed fervently for the chance to raise my children,” she expressed.
Supportive messages poured in from fans of the actor.

Concerning Chuck’s health, there haven’t been any significant physical problems reported. However, rumors circulated in 2017 suggesting that he endured two heart attacks after collapsing at a casino hotel.
Witnessing the distressing scene, Gena observed as medical personnel swiftly revived Chuck’s heart with a defibrillator during the incident, causing his heart and breathing to cease for several seconds before he was stabilized.
As per the individual who disclosed this information to Radar, “This ordeal would have been fatal for most men half his age, but Chuck remains in top physical condition.”
