In Season 9, Episode 9 of ‘The Carol Burnett Show,’ viewers are treated to a hilarious dose of kitchen chaos courtesy of Carol Burnett and Harvey Korman. While many of us have encountered kitchen mishaps, the antics in this episode take it to a whole new level!
The scene kicks off with Carol excitedly announcing over the phone that her brand-new kitchen is finally complete. Although the kitchen appears pristine at first glance, Carol hints at underlying issues lurking beneath the surface. However, she brushes off these problems as minor inconveniences.
Suddenly, the phone unexpectedly falls off the wall, adding to the chaos. Harvey storms into the kitchen, visibly irate, expressing his frustration with the constant stream of complaints at work. He warns that if anything else goes awry, he’ll lose his mind!
As Harvey angrily bangs the table, a light fixture crashes down from the ceiling, narrowly missing him as Carol deftly catches it. With a determined gaze, she suggests making him a martini to help him unwind. Meanwhile, Harvey continues his rant as Carol heads to the fridge.
However, when Carol attempts to open the fridge, it stubbornly refuses to budge. In frustration, she accidentally kicks a hole in the bottom cabinet. Harvey’s frustration boils over, causing him to slam the table once more. Unexpectedly, the force causes the fridge door to swing open, striking Carol on the head.
As Carol attempts to open a cabinet, a comedic mishap unfolds when all the cabinets open simultaneously, leaving her visibly frustrated. In her attempt to turn on the sink, disaster strikes as the entire top of the sink comes off, causing water to spray everywhere. Startled, she backs up into Harvey, who turns around to assess the chaos.
Suddenly, all the cabinets collapse, followed by a section of the wall crumbling down in front of them. Reacting quickly, they take cover just as the entire ceiling comes crashing down on top of them. Amidst the chaos, Harvey screams in terror, prompting them both to hastily agree to abandon the kitchen, go out for dinner, and simply forget about the calamity, opting instead to relax and unwind.
