We shouldn’t stop doing the things we enjoy just because we’re getting older. Instead, it should remind us to take things slowly and savor every moment.

As people age and can’t do things as effectively as before, they might feel discouraged. However, aging can be seen positively as an opportunity to approach things more wisely.

When we’re passionate about activities like dancing, it’s hard to give them up, even in old age.

Tom, a 96-year-old man, has rekindled his passion for dancing by taking dance classes.

Having danced for about 30 years, Tom stopped dancing after the passing of his wife, who was also his favorite dance partner.

His Son’s Encouragement

Tom’s grief almost led him away from his passion, but his son enrolled him in dance classes with Liya, helping him get back on his dancing feet.

Liya Kazbekova, a world-champion dancer who teaches Latin and ballroom dancing in Los Angeles, California, became one of Tom’s many fans. “He’s 96 and a dancer,” she explained. “My source of inspiration and motivation. Tom, my student, deserves a standing ovation. Once a dancer, always a dancer.

Tom amazed Liya with his dancing talent, impressing the professional dancer with his footwork that remains sharp despite time and age.
