Charlie Colin, the Grammy-winning bassist and founding member of the band Train, was tragically found dead after slipping and falling in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels, Belgium.

His mother shared the heartbreaking news with TMZ, revealing that Charlie’s friends discovered him at their home upon returning from a trip last week. The exact time of his passing remains unclear.

Throughout his career, Charlie Colin was celebrated for his contributions to music, notably winning a Grammy at the 44th Annual Grammy Awards, where Train took home the Best Rock Song award for their hit “Drops of Jupiter.” He was nominated for a total of six Grammy awards over the course of his career.

According to his mother, Charlie had relocated to Brussels, where he had been working as a music teacher at a conservatory. He was also actively composing music for a movie at the time of his passing, adding another creative chapter to his impressive legacy.
