Many kids first try on skates as toddlers. If a child masters standing confidently on the ice by three, by four, they’ll be gliding across the rink with ease. Though they may fall, they learn to get back up—a valuable life lesson.

Tiny Skaters

While figure skating can bring pressure, like dance or sports, it’s a great way to build discipline and a strong work ethic. We don’t know why Brynn’s mom chose skating for her, but it’s clear that Brynn has already developed impressive poise in a short time.

In 2014, a video of 3-year-old Brynn was uploaded to YouTube, and it’s since been watched over 1.7 million times.

Just Eight Weeks of Practice

In the video caption, Brynn’s mom, Valerie, shared that her daughter had only been skating for eight weeks. Yet, Brynn could start, stop, and glide smoothly. She even had a few adorable moves to show off.

Charming as ever, Brynn waved and smiled as she skated. She even wiggled herself backward—something many viewers said they were still learning!

Performing to The Muffin Man, Brynn’s routine brought smiles to viewers. One commenter wrote, “This was adorable! When the Muffin Man song came on, I just lost it!”

Brynn took first place out of six skaters in her age group at the 2014 Magnolia Open Skating Competition. Unaware of her win, Brynn skated over to her mom, looking pleased with herself.

Years later, people are still cheering Brynn on in the comments!
