Mia Morris possesses that rare “it” factor that makes her shine on stage. A teenage drumming prodigy, she’s also skilled in guitar, bass, keyboards, and more. Mia first fell in love with drums at age ten when she spotted a set in her neighbor’s garage. She quickly immersed herself in learning, even adding new instruments to her repertoire to record YouTube videos.

By age 13, she was recording full songs, playing each instrument herself, and sharing them online. Fast forward to her appearance on America’s Got Talent, where she wowed the judges—Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara—with her one-woman band performance.

Hailing from Nashville, Tennessee, Mia felt that playing multiple instruments was fitting for a rock-and-roll show. When Howie asked her to define “looping,” she gave a live demonstration with her loop pedal, leaving the audience and judges captivated. She began by beatboxing and playing an impressive bass riff, and then switched to electric guitar, adding a rock edge to her act before finally moving to the drums and singing Gone My Way, an original song.

The judges were thrilled. Sofia Vergara called her “one of the coolest girls” to grace the stage, and Simon Cowell commented on the spontaneity of her act, saying, “It was occasionally a bit of a mess, but that’s to be expected.” He explained that the raw, live quality of her performance was what made it special. Howie summed it up, calling her a “star.”

Mia earned a “yes” from all four judges and the audience’s admiration, securing her spot in the competition. Her unique style and infectious energy left everyone eager to see what she’ll do next. Don’t miss her incredible audition below!
