During her audition on America’s Got Talent, 88-year-old exotic dancer Penny Starr Sr. delivered an “unpredictable” performance that wowed both the judges and the audience. Proudly calling herself America’s senior burlesque dancer, Penny was hailed as a national treasure.

Born in Palm Bay, Florida, Penny graced the stage wearing vibrant red, white, and blue feathers. “I want to give America a real show, a get-up-and-go show!” the spirited performer declared. When Simon Cowell asked if she was single, Penny revealed she was a widow who had been married six times. Amused, Simon asked if she would consider a seventh husband. With a sly smile, she replied, “Yes, but it takes some time to break them in.”

Penny’s performance began with the patriotic tune “You’re a Grand Old Flag.” To the delight of the judges, she confidently removed layers of clothing, showcasing her burlesque flair. Host Terry Crews joined in the celebration, showering the stage with red, white, and blue confetti.

Sofia Vergara applauded Penny’s boldness, exclaiming, “Penny, I want to be you when I grow up!” Fellow judge Heidi Klum also expressed her support for the fearless senior.

Simon, thoroughly charmed by Penny’s sass, flirted with her and posed a bold question: “Would more clothing fall off if you went forward?” Penny eagerly confirmed that she would oblige. Judge Howie Mandel added, “I want to see more!”

Penny received four yeses, advancing to the next round. However, despite her memorable performance, the judges faced the difficult task of narrowing down 138 acts to just 54. Unfortunately, Penny’s journey on America’s Got Talent ended there, but her dazzling spirit left a lasting impression.
