Last month, a video of Rachael Ray seemingly slurring her words went viral, sparking concerns about her health. Now, she has provided an update on her well-being.

In the debut episode of her podcast, I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead, the celebrity chef explained that she has been recovering from various ailments, which she attributed to housework.

“I take care of my home—I love doing chores,” Ray shared on the podcast. “I enjoy being in the kitchen, and even though I love housework, I make sure to write and engage my mind every day.”

She continued, “I really enjoy what some consider physical labor. I love making lists, organizing meals, and cooking. I even like carrying in the firewood.”

Ray also mentioned that she and her husband, John, often have a friendly competition over household tasks. “How much wood did John bring in? Can I carry more? I don’t say it out loud to him, but I think about it,” she admitted.

However, the 56-year-old revealed that she had to pause her usual activities due to “a couple of bad falls” in recent weeks. While she did not disclose specific details about the incidents or potential injuries, they were serious enough to make her slow down.

Concerns about Ray’s health arose in early September when she posted an Instagram video where her speech appeared slurred, and part of her face seemed to droop.

“Look at her mouth. It looks like she might be recovering from a stroke,” one worried fan commented.

Another user speculated, “She sounds intoxicated and looks bloated. I hope she gets the help she needs before it’s too late.”

Despite an outpouring of support and concern from fans, Ray remained silent on the matter—until now.

Although she didn’t provide extensive details, she offered a reasonable explanation for the viral video, reassuring fans that she is on the mend.

What happened to Rachael Ray? We sincerely hope she’s doing well. No one wants anything bad to happen to her.
