Richard Gere recently attended the 2025 City Harvest Gala in New York City with his wife, Alejandra Silva—but it was his rarely-seen son, Homer James Jigme Gere, who truly captivated the crowd.

At 25, Homer appeared confident and stylish, mirroring his father in a navy-blue tuxedo and crisp white shirt. Richard, in his signature sleek look, and Alejandra, dazzling in a navy gown with gold accents, made for an elegant trio.

Homer, the son of Richard and actress Carey Lowell, quickly became the subject of adoration on social media. Fans gushed over his good looks—many noting he resembled his mother more than his famous father. Some even suggested he could play Superman!

This isn’t the first time Homer has drawn public attention. He appeared alongside Richard and Alejandra at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, sparking a wave of admiration online. Back then, just like now, fans commented on his charming appearance and resemblance to Carey Lowell.

Beyond his looks, Richard has shared that Homer, a Brown University graduate, is kind, smart, and sensitive. In a 2019 interview, he proudly said Homer is “smarter, stronger, and better” than him, and admitted that he often turns down film roles to avoid being away from his son for too long.

Though Homer has remained modest about his dad’s Hollywood status, he has begun exploring the arts himself. Richard revealed earlier this year that his son is now dabbling in acting and directing—and is even the lead vocalist of a punk band.

With creative talent, brains, and charm, Homer James Jigme Gere might just be stepping into the spotlight on his own terms.
