💔 Tragedy in Bay City: 14-Year-Old Boy Dies After Saying He Felt Like He Was Having a Heart Attack
A tight-knit Michigan community is reeling after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of 14-year-old Hayden Lee Davis, an eighth-grade student at Handy Middle School in Bay City.
On April 15, Hayden was dropped off at his usual bus stop. Moments later, a neighbor found him unconscious. Just before collapsing, Hayden had told a friend over the phone that he “thought he was having a heart attack.” He was rushed to the hospital, but sadly, he was pronounced dead just over an hour later.

💬 His mother shared that Hayden had no known health conditions and had been in good health at his last checkup. An autopsy has been performed, but toxicology results are still pending to confirm the cause of death.
The police do not suspect foul play, and surveillance video confirmed Hayden exited the school bus and walked home without incident.
💔 “He was only 14 and was loved by so many,” wrote his aunt, Shavonne Doulas, in a GoFundMe campaign that has raised over $14,500 to help cover funeral costs. “This is a horrible tragedy for the family, and our entire school community is heartbroken for them,” added school officials, who are offering grief support to students and staff.
