At 78 years old, Sir Elton John has faced numerous health issues in recent years, yet he’s remained upbeat throughout.
A newly surfaced video has sparked both concern and admiration from fans, many of whom took to social media to share their emotional reactions after seeing the music icon being assisted as he walked.
The footage, filmed in Italy, shows Elton being helped off a tour bus and carefully guided up a short set of stairs before sitting down with his group at an outdoor restaurant. The moment stirred a wave of online responses—some voiced worry, while others shared kind words and heartfelt prayers.

By November 2024, he revealed that vision in his right eye was nearly gone and his left eye was also deteriorating. This significantly affected his work, making it hard to read lyrics, see screens, or do studio sessions.
Still, Elton maintained a positive spirit and celebrated the release of his documentary Elton John: Never Too Late, a reflective piece on his life and legacy.
Among all his roles, he treasures fatherhood the most. He shares two sons—14-year-old Zachary Jackson and 12-year-old Elijah Joseph Daniel—with his husband, David Furnish. On March 2, 2025, the boys drew admiration during Elton’s Oscars charity event, stealing the spotlight on the red carpet.
