While out on a dinner date in Chandler, Arizona, a grandmother and her 14-year-old grandson were touched by an unexpected act of kindness when two strangers covered the cost of their meal.
Gretchen Caiazzo was dining with her grandson, Cole, enjoying their evening together, completely unaware that they were being observed by a couple nearby. The strangers were moved by the sight of the two sharing a special moment over dinner.
When it was time to settle the bill, the server let Gretchen know it had already been paid for—and handed her a heartfelt note from the couple. The message read: “We loved watching your special date. It reminded us of how much we miss time with our own grandmothers. These moments are truly precious. Treasure them. God bless – Christine and Vernon.”
Cole’s father, Adam, later shared the note online, expressing his appreciation: “Random acts of kindness amaze me!!! So thankful that there’s still love and goodness in this world, even when it feels hard to see sometimes!”
