When the baby giraffe was born at the Chester Zoo, the entire zoo staff rejoiced. Murchison, on the other hand, was a shy and distrustful youngster.

The zookeepers opened the enclosure door so Murchison could go for a walk outside and they could clean their nursery.

The tiny one, despite being 6.5 feet tall, was unable to gather his strength and venture into new territory. But the young one couldn’t stay when he saw his mother wandering around outside their fence. He summoned all of his bravery and pursued his mother.

His desire to follow his mother was probably stronger than his anxiety about trying anything new. He went throughout the zoo with swinging legs, making all of the zookeepers happy. The team was relieved to find the small giraffe had made it out of the enclosure.
