It is a very excellent deed done by a woman who is already 98 years old. Nanna Merle, a caring woman, keeps the days of the penguins warm and safe.

This great granny knits small penguins sweaters.

She has 18 years of experience in this field.

Since 1998, she has been sewing. When there was a threat of an oil spill, she did this. The woman knits the small penguins warm and colorful sweaters.

She donates these sweaters to the penguins on Phillip Island. The tiny penguins are protected from eating oil by their colourful and woolly jackets.

Oil can harm them, which is why they must wear these jumpers to avoid being harmed by it.
