The couple only spends about $43 a day, or $15,696 a year, to live on a cruise ship.

It’s all about living your best life when you’re retired. At least, it ought to be.

#cruiselife is, too, by chance.

So Angelyn and Richard Burk put two and two together for their retirement.

The couple from Seattle, WA, who are both in their 50s, has always wanted to travel when they got older.

They decided to go from one cruise ship to another because they love going on cruises.

Plus, it costs less than getting a mortgage. Yup! FOX 56 WOLF says that living on a cruise ship costs the couple only about $43 a day, or $15,696 a year.

CNN said that the amount was between $89 and $100 per day. Angelyn also says that they sometimes give themselves the freedom to spend up to $135 a day, which is $49,275 a year.

Angelyn told CNN, “So far this year, we have booked 86 cruise days at a cost of $89 per day for both of us.”

“Which includes room, food, entertainment, transportation, tip, port fees, and taxes. This is well within the budget we set for our retirement,”

In 1992, she booked her first cruise. After she and Richard got married, they started going on a cruise every year or every other year.

They have enough money between their savings and the sale of their home to pay for their new cruise lifestyle.

Early in 2021, they started to think about retiring and started doing the math. Once they figured out that they could just cruise for the rest of their lives, in May 2021, they started their new cruise life.

Angelyn told 7 News Australia that their original plan was to live in different countries for a month at a time and then move to cruise ships when they got older. “We love to travel, and we wanted to find a way to keep traveling after we retired that was also financially smart.”

They only had one suitcase with them on their trip.

They plan their cruises so that they start a new one right where the last one ends.

When they are on different cruises at the same time, they just hang out on land for a while. Usually with family and friends.

Angelyn has only seen that happen a handful of times.

And they have no plans to move back to land for good any time soon.

They want to go to every place on Earth. So far, the Burks have been to Singapore, Italy, Canada, Iceland, and the Bahamas, sometimes more than once.

Angelyn said, “We have been cheap our whole lives to save and invest so we can reach our goal.” “We’re not interested in things, but in having experiences.”

Angelyn says that many people can cruise every day if they plan ahead and stick to a budget.

This is how:
She says that first you have to want to live on a cruise ship and be at sea all the time.

Sign up for loyalty programs and keep an eye out for discounts on different cruise lines.

Next, you’ll need to be flexible with your travel dates and try to stay in the same place as long as you can to save money between ships.

You should also book the cheapest rooms, avoid drink packages, and stay within your budget.

Since cruising isn’t a vacation but a way of life, you don’t want to waste money on gambling and other activities.

It’s also important to bring only what you need. While traveling, you can always buy what you need.
