Have you ever gone to a show about dogs? I haven’t. The reason isn’t that I don’t like dogs. I do. I just didn’t have the chance to go. But after I watched this video, I was much more interested.

I had no idea that such talented acts could happen at a dog show. I thought it was a day when handlers showed off their almost-perfect dogs so judges could decide which was the best in show and which was the best in class.

It’s easy to see why this show has gotten so much attention. The cowboy owner and his border collie do a “country” dance in front of thousands of dog lovers. You’ll be amazed no matter how well they do, though.

The show took place in the United Kingdom at the Crufts dog show. Not only is it rare to see a cowboy in the United Kingdom, but he also brought with him a lot of American spirit, which made the people there very happy.

The cowboy chose a song by Big & Rich, two of the best-known names in country music. “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” and “Filthy Rich” are their best-known country songs.

But they aren’t set on making hit after hit that isn’t about religion. They also put out songs like “That’s Why I Pray” and “I Pray for You” that are very moving. In other words, Big & Rich are musicians and performers who can do a lot of different things.

That’s why, in 2011, when they recorded “Fake I.D.” with country star Gretchen Wilson, Big & Rich (pictured above) made headlines. The song was used in the remake of Footloose.

Dog show fans were amazed when the cowboy at Crufts showed off his heelwork. They loved his country dance every minute of the way. And they have been so much fun that even his dog wanted to join in.

The cowboy and his border collie weren’t just at Crufts to show off their skills. They were there to try to win the category in which handlers and their dogs have to dance together to music for up to four minutes.

As you watch them dance, you’ll see that both of them are very well trained. The border collie keeps up with the cowboy, and the two of them do a great job.

Watch as the dogs twist and turn and walk back over the owner’s legs. Even around his cowboy boots, the dog winds in and out.

Everyone was impressed by the cowboy and his border collie while they were on stage, but when the show was over, nobody could say a word.

After the crowd got over how surprising the ending was, they cheered, and many stood up to give the dancing couple a standing ovation.

If you didn’t know that dancing routines could be part of a dog show, I’m glad I told you. I had no idea that things like this were going on all over the world. Now that I know, I might buy a ticket to a dog show soon. You never know what kind of fun you’ll find!
