Bridget is a busy mother of two. When she needs help around the house with things she can’t do herself, like fixing the furnace or other appliances, she usually asks her husband. But she can’t do that any more.
As an active member of the military, Bridget’s husband is currently deployed, so he can’t do anything about it. When Bridget got home to a cold house, she knew it was too cold for her kids to be there. She called Betlyn Heating and Cooling, and the owner told her he would help.
The owner of the HVAC company, Paul, took the time to talk to Bridget while he was working on her furnace. He asked her a few questions about herself and found out that her husband was an active duty soldier who was stationed overseas.
He gave Bridget a receipt when she went to pay him for his work. The note said:
“I was a little worried about how much it would cost after he was done. He gave me the piece of paper in this picture.”
The handyman Paul gave her a discount for being in the military. The service cost a total of $1. What a wonderful story!
