When we think of celebrity relationships, the first thing that comes to mind is that they don’t last very long. Every marriage anniversary is a big deal, but in Hollywood, they are even bigger deals because they don’t happen very often.

When they first met on the set of Family Ties, Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan probably didn’t think that their real-life relationship would last longer than that of their characters, 19-year-old Alex and smart dancer Ellen Reed.

When he was in his late 20s, Michael J. Fox was told he had Parkinson’s disease. It happened not long after he married Tracy and they had their first child.
Tracy has always been there for her husband and is his biggest fan. The two are doing their best to deal with Michael’s condition and are working hard to raise money to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.

Their four kids, Esme, 20, identical twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, 27, and Sam, 33, all live much quieter lives than their parents do. In fact, only Sam has an Instagram account that anyone can see. He often posts photos of his dad and family, and he looks just like Michael.

Michael’s kids are all very helpful, and they never miss a chance to go with their dad to important events that raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease.

We love this family because they always make sure to tell each other how much they love each other.
Michael recently posted a picture of his twins with the caption, “Twice the love, a hundred times the laughs. Happy birthday to my two beautiful girls! I love you so much.”

In an interview during the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael talked about how he and his family spent their days after moving to Long Island so they could all live in the same house. “We were the kind of people who usually talked after dinner, and now we were talking about what other people were going through. Putting together jigsaw puzzles, watching Tracy cook up a storm, and talking to the other guests, like these amazing kids and this great lady. It’s hard for me to believe that this is my life.

Michael’s kids recently told him some very sad news. Michael’s mother, Phyllis Piper, died in September 2022. She turned 92.
Michael joked at a panel honoring the classic movie Back to the Future that his mother thought he shouldn’t have made that movie because at the time he was doing Family Ties during the day and she thought he would be too tired to make another movie at night.

“My mother still thinks it was a bad idea for me to do Back to the Future, or at least she did until two weeks ago. Michael said, “She liked the movie, but she was right, I was getting tired.
