Getting ready for a wedding takes careful planning, no matter how big or small it is.

Yes, even if a wedding planner is going to take care of it. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that it can take months to plan a wedding.

It can be scary to think about how much the wedding will cost, but it can also be scary to think about spending the rest of your life with someone else. That’s probably one of the reasons why people often change their minds about getting married. But is it fair to back out just because your mind changed? Not even close.

Even if you don’t care about the thousands of dollars you spent, the damage to your feelings is bad enough.

In October 2015, a couple from Sacramento, California, got ready for the wedding of their dreams. The groom called off the wedding at the last minute, which was sad. Kari Duane, the mother of the bride, was upset about what happened to her daughter Quinn Duane.

But she didn’t want to waste all the food they had made for their 120 guests.

Kari told KCRA, “I feel a lot of pain and sadness for her, but I will learn something good from this.”

Since they had already paid the down payment for the $35,000 wedding, Kari decided to hold a feast for the homeless in the banquet hall of the Citizen Hotel.

The mother of the bride said that it made perfect sense to help those who needed it. After all, life has a lot more to be thankful for.

“When I found out on Monday that the wedding wouldn’t be happening, it seemed obvious that this was something we could do to help,” she said.
