In a display of this commitment, Pablo Cárdenas, a 38-year-old Argentine man, specializing in windsurfing, fearlessly jumps into the sea to ensure the safety and rescue of these creatures. Known for his love of the sea and waves, he dedicates most of his time to the renowned beach ‘La Pepita’ in the Punta Iglesia area.
He embarked on his skateboarding hobby 24 years ago and has since recognized the potential dangers of having no lifeguards on the beach. Little did he know that this circumstance would lead to a dire situation for a defenseless puppy.
While contemplating the sea, he witnessed a small caramel-colored animal being thrown into the water from a large rock. Without hesitation, Pablo abandoned everything to rescue the distressed dog.
The puppy’s owner couldn’t prevent it from falling into the water. On the beach, everyone witnessing the situation was horrified.
Puppy owners and other visitors believed it was only a matter of time before the ocean currents would carry the helpless pup away. However, Pablo was there, alongside the rocks, calculating swift moves to catch the distressed dog and bring it to safety. Every moment was crucial, as the relentless water threatened to pull the puppy away.
Those present feared that the worst would happen. After analyzing the situation, Pablo jumped off the rock he was holding and tried to catch the puppy. He became a hatless hero, earning well-deserved applause and celebration from all tourists and visitors to this place.
“At that moment, I got into the water and pulled him out,” Pablo said.”
Pablo once again returned to the safety of the rocks, where one of the men with the puppy was waiting to receive the precious little animal in his arms. The child is called Toy; he approached the sea just to explore and did not expect that bad things could happen to him.
Soon, everyone returns to the safe area of the beach, where Toy is reunited with his human mother, while she breathes and tries to recover from what happened. He was safe thanks to Pablo’s prompt action.
Toy’s humans were incredibly grateful to Pablo for rescuing him. They couldn’t imagine life without their puppy, and so they offered a financial reward to the man who risked his own safety.
“He is a hero! He did what he had to do and was quiet and humble. With a few creatures like this great man, humanity was saved. THANK YOU FROM THE HEART,” commented Maris Stella, a social media user upon hearing the story.
But for Paul, there was no way for him to get paid for doing what he thought was right. It was enough for him to know that the dog had a good coat, and, in any case, he thought that the puppy himself would thank him for what he did when they met in the afterlife.”
“Doggies don’t talk. But, they will speak in heaven, and I know they will thank me,” concluded Pablo. While that day has come, this exemplary man continues to guard the beach, ready to help anyone in need and without losing hope of one day seeing Toy again in this earthly universe.
Indeed, there is no doubt that there are better people in this world. If more men acted like Pablo, our present would be completely different: a place where little animals feel protected, and selfishness doesn’t exist.
