Accompanied by her Maltese dog, Mister, Locklear seemed content in the photos, enjoying the pleasant weather. The actress has faced challenges since her arrest on domestic abuse charges.
Locklear faced a misdemeanor DUI charge, despite tests revealing no alcohol or illegal drugs in her system. Additionally, in September 2008, she was held on suspicion of DUI.
The deputy district attorney for Santa Barbara County suggested that Locklear’s use of antidepressants and anxiety medications might have impaired her ability to drive safely. Locklear pleaded not guilty to reckless driving. Recently, she celebrated 2.5 years of sobriety.
In March 2008, a 911 call, purportedly from Locklear’s doctor, reported concerns of her being suicidal, leading to paramedics and police officers arriving at her residence. Upon arrival, it was discovered that she had overdosed on prescription medication.
