Morgan Freeman was unable to join his co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman for the Special Ops: Lioness press trip to the United Kingdom due to a fever he developed before the trip. His physicians advised against travel, suspecting a potentially contagious infection.

Morgan Freeman’s absence was evident during a series of press appearances in London, including a Tuesday screening of their Paramount+ show. Host Alex Jones expressed her disappointment over his absence when the two actresses appeared on The One Show.

A spokeswoman for Morgan Freeman informed MailOnline that he had to cancel his trip due to a fever and a suspected contagious infection. However, she assured me that he is currently recovering well.

Meanwhile, his co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman continued with their packed schedule, attending a photocall at the IET London and a screening at the Tate Britain.

Special Ops: Lioness is inspired by a real CIA program and follows Marine Joe, portrayed by Zoe Saldana, as she navigates her personal and professional life as a crucial figure in the CIA’s counterterrorism efforts. Kidman plays senior CIA supervisor Kaitlyn Meade, who teams up with Marine Raider Cruz (played by De Oliveira) on an undercover mission to prevent another 9/11.

Renowned for his work within the Yellowstone universe, which includes historical series like 1883 and 1923, creator Taylor Sheridan presents a refreshing take with Special Ops: Lioness.

Set to premiere on the streaming platform Paramount+ on July 23, the series promises a unique viewing experience. Episodes will be released weekly throughout the season, offering audiences a chance to immerse themselves in this captivating new show.

We hope Morgan Freeman will overcome any health issue he’s experiencing.
