In a tribute on social media, Dominic Monaghan, Bernard Hill’s co-star from “Lord of the Rings,” expressed his condolences, likening Hill’s passing to a journey to the unknown.
Hill, recognized for his roles in “Titanic” and “The Lord of the Rings,” passed away at 79, as confirmed by his agent Lou Coulson to the BBC.
Survived by his fiancée Alison and son Gabriel, Hill’s extensive career included notable performances such as Captain Edward Smith in “Titanic” and King Théoden of Rohan in “The Lord of the Rings.”
