Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the child of celebrities Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has been under the spotlight since her birth in 2006. She has grown into a poised adolescent over the years.
Her parents have been supportive of her interests and choices from a young age. Angelina Jolie once remarked on Shiloh’s early independence, finding her decisions intriguing even at the age of four.
“I’d never be the kind of mother to force my child to change who she is. That is just bad parenting, in my opinion,” stated Angelina Jolie.
Shiloh, with her lovely golden hair, a dazzling smile, and piercing blue eyes, embodies the perfect combination of her well-known parents.
She has begun to make more public appearances alongside her famous family, which includes her siblings Vivienne and Knox, Pax, Maddox, and Zahara.
Similar to her older sister Zahara, Shiloh was born in Africa. Angelina revealed to the BBC that she was in the breech position when she arrived at the hospital in Namibia where she gave birth to her daughter.
“I needed a C-section, and because I had the means for an ultrasound, I knew that my baby was breech. However, I discovered that the local hospital lacked an ultrasound machine despite being a good hospital with a large population of women.”
Angelina continued, “I know there are many excellent people working on this and women’s health around the world, as well as many groups committed just to that. Their work is crucial.”
Shiloh is sandwiched in between her siblings. Maddox, Pax, and Zahara are her older siblings, while the twins are a bit younger.
While her sisters preferred dresses, Shiloh used to enjoy wearing suits on red carpets. “We had to cut her hair,” Angelina shared in 2010, revealing, “she wants to be a boy. She likes to dress completely in men’s clothing. She thinks of herself as a brother.”
Brad once mentioned in an interview that at the age of two, she chose to be called John. “She just wants to use the name, John. John or Peter. It’s something with Peter Pan,” he shared.
“So we have to call her John. Shi, do you want…? — ‘John. I’m John.’ I’ll then ask John if he’d want some orange juice after that.” She then declares, “No!” It’s just the kind of behavior that probably annoys a lot of other people while being endearing to parents.
However, it is now common to see Shiloh attending a red carpet-event with her mother while wearing a gorgeous gown.
Three of the six Jolie-Pitt children are adopted, but Shiloh is not among them. She is the first biological child of Brad and Angelina. At the time of her birth, the couple had already adopted Pax, Maddox, and Zahara.
