On the set of Noah Baumbach’s upcoming Netflix film, George Clooney celebrated his 63rd birthday alongside his co-star Adam Sandler. Despite being hard at work on location in Italy, Clooney was able to mark the occasion with a smile, surrounded by the cast and crew of the project, which has yet to be officially announced.
While he was away from his wife, Amal Clooney, and their six-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, the surprise birthday party organized by his colleagues surely brought joy to the renowned actor and director. Joining Clooney and Sandler on set are a roster of talented actors including Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Isla Fisher, and Patrick Wilson. The birthday festivities included a cake adorned simply with the words “Happy birthday, George!” as the team came together to celebrate the milestone occasion.
During a break from filming, George Clooney and Adam Sandler were spotted engaging in a friendly game of basketball. Described as being in an “upbeat, cheeky mood” by an insider speaking to People, Clooney and Sandler brought laughter and energy to the set as they joked around and enjoyed each other’s company. Renowned for his ability to lighten the atmosphere wherever he goes, Clooney’s presence on set is cherished by both cast and crew, many of whom have worked with him on previous projects.
As Clooney approaches his 63rd year, he has much to be grateful for. In February, he and his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, were seen strolling through the streets of the South of France with their newest family member, a St. Bernard puppy named Nelson. Known for their passion for animals and their generosity, the couple delighted passersby as Amal cradled Nelson while George handled the leash.
Nelson joins the Clooney household, which has been graced by several Saint Bernards in the past, including their beloved companion Rosie, named in memory of George’s late aunt. George Clooney’s commitment to animal rescue is well-documented, and he frequently incorporates furry friends into his life, often bringing them along on his global travels.
George Clooney and his wife Amal have shared their home with a variety of beloved pets over the years, including Einstein, a cocker spaniel who passed away in 2017, and Max, a renowned pig who passed away in 2006. Additionally, they have welcomed Millie, a basset hound, and Louie, another cherished spaniel, into their family.
In addition to their affection for animals, the Clooneys are devoted parents to their twin children, who will turn seven years old in June. During an interview with Michael Strahan for Good Morning America, George reflected on the joys and challenges of parenthood, particularly with twins.
“When you have twins and you’re raising them the same way, and they’re completely different human beings, you realize how little say you have in who they are,” George shared. Despite their efforts to instill values and boundaries, George expressed awe at the distinct personalities of his children, emphasizing the beauty of their individuality. “They come out with an opinion,” he remarked, highlighting the fascinating journey of parenthood.
