Once again, it’s the Christmas season when you indulge in turkey and welcome the holiday cheer with open arms. It’s a time to embrace the spirit of Christmas, filling your days with joy and kindness.

Christmas wouldn’t be the same without carols and festive songs. With this in mind, the melodious United States Navy Band recently performed “The Christmas Can-Can.”

The performance took place at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington D.C., drawing a large audience. The United States Navy Band consists of five members: Michael Belinkie, Dave Sigmon, Ben Bansford, Bill Edwards, and Robert Kurth.

The stage was adorned with brightly lit Christmas trees set at the rear, while the band performed in front. Professional musicians sat in the background, enjoying the lively singing and dancing of the Navy Band.

The United States Navy Band delivered an exceptional performance, singing with the same high energy as the original cappella group, Straight No Chaser. Their synchronization, coordination, and timing were impeccable as they executed the fast-paced, upbeat number flawlessly. They also danced with the same vibrant energy that the music demands.

“The Christmas Can-Can” was initially written by Walter Chase, a member of Straight No Chaser, who first performed the song years ago. However, this rendition by the United States Navy Band stands out as one of the best.
