Gorillas are among the species most closely related to humans, sharing many traits with us. They are incredibly social, empathetic, and intelligent animals.
These human-like qualities can create unforgettable bonding moments between people and gorillas. Recently, such a moment occurred when a gorilla saw a woman’s baby and did something endearing.
Hannah Pearson and her children, including her baby son Noah, recently visited the Columbus Zoo in Ohio.
When they reached the gorilla enclosure, one of the great apes was drawn to the newborn and moved up to the glass for a closer look. It was a heartwarming moment as the gorilla gazed at the newborn with affection and curiosity. “Do you see the monkey?” Hannah asked her baby son.
But the cuteness didn’t stop there—something even more adorable occurred: the gorilla seemed to give the baby a kiss through the glass. “Gorilla kisses for baby Noah,” Hannah captioned the moment.
In the video, you can hear “awws” and laughter from other children. Hannah shared the video online, where it quickly went viral, amassing over 3.8 million views.
Many viewers commented on the video, noting that this touching moment highlights how much we have in common with gorillas.
