A chef tragically passed away after being stung by a wasp while placing a flower on his mother’s grave.

Marc Pavel, 47, suffered a severe allergic reaction and began struggling to breathe shortly after as he drove home. Realizing the severity of his condition, he stopped his car just a few yards from his house and got out to seek help. Unfortunately, he lost consciousness before he could find anyone.

Bystanders discovered Marc slumped over on the ground, and when medics arrived, they determined that he had passed out due to anaphylaxis triggered by the wasp sting.

Although he was resuscitated and rushed to a hospital in Trieste, Italy, Marc’s condition worsened. He fell into a coma and, sadly, passed away four days after being stung at the cemetery.

Marc had earned the title of Cook of the Year in his region in 2012. His mother had passed away in 2019.
