For most parents, back-to-school open houses are routine and, admittedly, a bit dull, often filled with the principal’s overview of the upcoming school year. But Walden Grove High School in Sahuarita, Arizona, took things to a whole new level, making sure parents left with big smiles! Known for their extraordinary PAC dance team, the school has developed a reputation for putting on unforgettable performances at these events.
The Performing Arts Crew (PAC) at Walden Grove has garnered national attention for their talent and creativity. Not only have they clinched the Arizona State Cheerleading/Pom Tournament title four times, but they also competed in season 13 of America’s Got Talent. Their incredible choreography has made them internet sensations, with their homecoming and assembly routines—featuring themes like “Pixar,” “Wizard of Oz,” and “Alice in Wonderland”—gaining millions of views on YouTube.
During the school’s 2018 open house, PAC added to the excitement with a “Super Mario Brothers” dance routine that wowed the crowd. Dressed as Marios, Luigis, and princesses, the team burst into perfectly synchronized, high-energy hip-hop moves set to the classic video game soundtrack, capturing the festive spirit.
With all the enthusiasm and creativity, it’s no surprise these teens love what they do. And for the crowd, watching Mario and Luigi’s lively adventure to rescue the princesses brought a delightful twist to the usual open house!
Parents at Walden Grove are definitely lucky to have such an entertaining and talented dance team. Watching this video is sure to brighten anyone’s day—check it out below and share to spread the joy!
