From ‘ModBoy’ to a Fresh Start: Ethan Bramble’s Bold Tattoo Transformation
We’ve all made choices in the past that we might not be proud of—decisions we wish we could undo or words we’d love to take back. But few people wear their past decisions as visibly as Ethan ‘ModBoy’ Bramble, an Australian body modification enthusiast who covered himself in over 200 tattoos.

While tattoos are a popular form of self-expression today, and intricate designs are more common than ever, there’s usually a limit to what most people are willing to have permanently inked onto their bodies. Ethan, however, pushed well beyond that boundary.

A Lifetime of Body Modifications
Ethan’s journey into extreme body modifications began at just 11 years old, when he first started stretching his ears. Over the years, he took things to a whole new level, undergoing procedures such as splitting his tongue and even removing his belly button.

Yet, it’s his tattoos that have drawn the most attention. Completely covered in ink from head to toe, Ethan estimated that he had spent around $60,000 AUD (approximately $39,000 USD) on his dramatic transformation.

Facing Tattoo Regrets
Despite his dedication to body art, Ethan has recently opened up about having second thoughts. Speaking to LadBibleTV’s No Filter series, he admitted, “I guess you could say I regret some tattoos. Not just regret—I think there’s a difference between regret and wanting to be perceived differently.”

One of his biggest concerns is how others might judge him, especially in everyday situations—like when he takes his young daughter to school.

“The face is a big thing,” he explained. “It can lead to so many problems for some people. I probably wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with that until she was a bit older. I wish that I had not gone as hectic as I did on my face.”

The Painful Process of Tattoo Removal
Determined to change his appearance, Ethan has been undergoing extensive laser treatments to remove some of his facial tattoos.

“I’ve been getting laser [removal] for pretty much 12 months now. We do it in sections, but I’ve probably gone over the full thing six or seven times,” he shared.

Beyond just the physical process, Ethan opened up about the emotional toll his tattoos have taken on him. “I started getting it done because of the anxiety and stuff I was getting… Mental stuff is a funny thing to pin down, but I want to think that a lot of the anxiety was from just having a face full of tattoos.”

Despite the painful procedures, he’s optimistic about the future. “I’m happy with the way that I look, but I’m also happy with the mentality that over the next two years, my face tattoos are going to become less and less. I’m just clearing the canvas.”

A New Chapter Begins
Ethan’s journey is a testament to personal growth and the power of transformation. As he continues the process of removing his facial tattoos, his story serves as a reminder that it’s never too late to redefine yourself.
