Donald Trump was sworn in on Monday as the 47th president of the United States, marking his return to the White House for a second term. In his inaugural speech, he declared, “The golden age of America begins right now,” and promised that the nation would “flourish and be respected” under his leadership as both a “peacemaker and a unifier.” The president also expressed gratitude, stating that God had saved him from an assassination attempt, allowing him the opportunity to “make America great again.”

As for the First Lady, Melania Trump, reports suggest she won’t be living full-time at the White House. Instead, she plans to divide her time between various locations. With their son, Barron Trump, preparing to start university in New York, Melania will spend time there, as well as at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

While Donald Trump was eager to return to the presidency, Melania’s enthusiasm about the move seemed more reserved. In a recent interview about her memoir, Melania, she was asked about any differences in how she and Donald moved into the White House this time compared to their first time after the Obama administration.

“The difference is I know where I will be going, I know the rooms where we will be living. I know the process,” Melania shared with Fox & Friends. She explained that the first transition was challenging, as much of the information was withheld from them by the previous administration.

This time, Melania feels more prepared. “But this time I have everything, I have the plans. I could move in, I already packed – I already selected the furniture that needs to go in,” she said. “So it’s a very different transition this time, second time around.”

Notably, former First Lady Michelle Obama did not attend the swearing-in ceremony for Donald Trump.
