If the humanoid robots from Tesla or Figure aren’t exciting enough for you, we have something more intriguing. Clone Robotics in Wrocław, Poland, is unveiling a musculoskeletal robot named Protoclone, which has the physique of a well-trained bodybuilder.
This faceless, anatomically accurate synthetic human boasts over 200 degrees of freedom, more than 1,000 myofibers, and over 200 sensors.
In the video, you can still see the robot hanging from brackets, allowing the roboticists to test its full range of movement. Protoclone is designed to handle a variety of household tasks such as pouring drinks, vacuuming, doing laundry, and even shaking hands.
Later this year, pre-orders will open for the first commercial version, Clone Alpha, with only 279 units available.
