I Thought I Met a Girl at a Party—But What Her Mom Said Sent Chills Down My Spine 😳

I met a beautiful girl at a party. We clicked instantly—and woke up together the next morning. She rushed out, late for something, but left behind a pair of antique earrings.

She’d told me they belonged to her great-grandmother, so I knew they were important. I pocketed them and went to return them to her house.

When I knocked, a stunning woman in a robe opened the door. She looked like an older version of the girl I’d met.

“Please give these to Julia,” I said.

She froze. Then, with a strange look, took the earrings.

“Julia?” she asked slowly.
“Yes… she left them at my place yesterday.”

She blinked. “Yesterday?”
“Yes…”
Pause.
“Julia died six years ago.”

I stood there—paralyzed. Heart pounding. Had I just—?

Suddenly, Julia herself stormed in from another room. “Mum! Stop messing with him!” she cried.

Her mother burst out laughing and invited me in for coffee.

And that’s how I met my future mother-in-law.
