Each night, a devoted father would tuck his 3-year-old daughter into bed, read her a story, and listen to her nightly prayers. One evening, she ended her prayer with something unexpected:
“God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy, God bless Grandma… and goodbye Grandpa.”
Startled, the father asked, “Why did you say goodbye to Grandpa?”
She shrugged and replied innocently, “I don’t know, Daddy. It just felt right.”
The next day, to the father’s shock, Grandpa passed away. He brushed it off as a bizarre coincidence—until a few months later, during another bedtime prayer, she said:
“God bless Mommy, God bless Daddy… and goodbye Grandma.”
Sure enough, Grandma died the very next day. The father began to wonder if his daughter was somehow in touch with the beyond.
Then came the night that nearly gave him a heart attack.
As she finished her prayer, the little girl said:
“God bless Mommy… and goodbye Daddy.”
The man froze. He was so rattled he didn’t sleep at all. At the break of dawn, he rushed to his office, terrified that his end was near. He skipped lunch, watched the clock obsessively, and decided to stay in the office until midnight just to be safe.
Finally, the clock struck 12. He let out a massive sigh of relief, feeling like he had just escaped death. He returned home exhausted but alive.
When he walked through the door, his wife looked at him, puzzled.
“You were at work late today—what happened?”
Still rattled, he muttered, “I don’t want to talk about it. I’ve had the worst day of my life.”
She nodded and said, “You think you had a rough day? You won’t believe this—my boss dropped dead in the middle of a meeting this morning!”
