A small child in the home can bring boundless joy. Watching them explore their surroundings is a delight—there’s always something new and fascinating for them to discover. Children are among the most genuine, straightforward people in the world. They express emotions with unmatched honesty, and their directness often leads to heartwarming (and hilarious) moments.
Take Tigene, for example. She had a pair of bright, noisy maracas—but anyone who wanted to play with them needed her permission. And Tigene wasn’t granting it.
