When we look at big movies, especially fantasy and animated ones, we can see that the lion is one of the animals that is shown and loved the most. It makes people afraid and respect it, and at the same time, it’s a symbol of many things, like courage and determination. Not many other animals are as powerful and magnetic as this big cat.
Because of this cultural background, when British photographer Simon Needham caught the lion Moya’s eye at the Glen Garriff Conservation shrine, he was so taken with it that he decided to spend all of his time showing how great it was. The resulting photos, which are famous all over the world, are a unique show that isn’t just for people who like animals.
