After her dog dies, a heartbroken little girl sends a letter to God.

A gold box with her name and address is sent to her house a few days later.

We all know that growing up with pets is good for kids.

Children who have a playmate from an early age learn to be responsible and take care of others, which is important for single children.

The 14-year-old dog had lived with the family for a long time and had become a real member of the family.

They had always played together and had a unique and close friendship ever since Meredith was born.

And that’s exactly why Meredith was so sad when Abbey got sick and died. She just couldn’t accept that her best friend was leaving them for good.

Meredith’s mom, Colleen, wrote on Facebook, “The day after she died, my 4-year-old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.”

Meredith, with love.

Then, they put the letter in the envelope with a few stamps—Meredith insisted on using a lot of stamps because it’s a long way to heaven—and mailed it.

Regarding the address, “God/Heaven” would be that.

A few days later, Meredith asked her parents if they thought God had read her letter. They said they didn’t know for sure, but they thought he had.

The parents of the little girl believed that was the end of the tale, but they were mistaken.

Meredith got a gold box with her name and address on it a few days later. It seems to have been sent directly by God.
The letter and photo Meredith had sent were in the box, along with Mr. Roger’s book “When a Pet Dies.”

Another letter was included, which Colleen read to her daughter.

“Hello Meredith,

Abbey got to heaven without any problems. Having a picture of her helped a lot, and I knew it was her right away.

Abbey is no longer sick. Just like it stays in your heart, her spirit is here with me. Abbey enjoyed living with you. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to put your picture in. Instead, I’m sending it back to you in this little book so you can keep it and remember Abbey.
