People have said bad things about the way Dolly Parton looks.
She told him that he loves her just the way she is.
Parton has been married to her husband, who is rarely seen in public, for 56 years.

Even though country singer Dolly Parton is almost 80, people still tease her about how she looks. No matter what people say, she doesn’t care because her husband thinks she is the most beautiful.

The singer-songwriter met her husband of 50 years, Carl Dean, outside of a Nashville, Tennessee, laundromat in 1964. He was twenty-one and she was eighteen.

Parton talked about the time in 1976 when she and Dean ran into each other. She said that Dean was driving his pickup truck when he saw her and said hello. He asked her out on a date right away, but the singer of “Jolene” turned him down.

But Parton asked Dean to come over while she watched her nephew. He went to the house every day that week, but he wasn’t allowed to go inside. “We were sitting on the porch,” the actress said.

Parton went on to say that when her aunt was finally able to take over from her, she could “go anywhere” with Dean from then on.

When he had a chance, he told his parents about her right away. The famous actor said Dean knew she was the one from the first time he saw her.

The wedding was small and took place in Ringgold, Georgia, on May 31, 1966. In May 2016, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, and Dean made a rare statement about how much he loves his famous wife:

“When I first saw her, I thought, ‘I’m going to marry that girl.’ My second thought was, “Good God, she’s pretty.” That was the first day of my life. I wouldn’t give up the last 50 years for anything.”

Even though his wife has a very public life, Dean is not as involved in the Hollywood scene as she is. Parton has done what he asked and kept their marriage out of the public eye. She talked about the issue on “The Kelleigh Bannen Show” in March of 2022.

The philanthropist said that her wise mother taught her how to keep her personal life with her husband separate from her work life. She said that her mother told her to “give away,” but not everything, so that she could keep some things for herself.

Parton said that keeping some parts of her life private has made her marriage stronger. She also said that she learned how to keep the details of her marriage to herself, which got easier over time.

The award-winning songwriter said, “It’s natural for me to protect the things and people I love and my own privacy.”

Parton also takes care to keep herself healthy. The “Steel Magnolias” star said in June 2021 that she follows an 80/20 meal plan.

When she’s busy at work during the week, the businesswoman sticks to a low-carb diet. On the weekends, she sticks to the 80/20 rule.

Parton has also talked openly about her looks, especially the many plastic surgeries she’s had. The “Joyful Noise” star admitted in September 2019 that she wouldn’t be beautiful if she hadn’t worked on her body:

“My style is what a country girl would call glam. I wasn’t born pretty, so I try to make the best of what I have.

The Hall of Famer said that she does things to make herself look better, and she said that she will do whatever it takes to get the look she wants.

Her looks were criticized
During her rise to fame, Parton was harshly criticized for the choices she made. She remembered that people told her that if she wanted to get far in her career, she should get rid of her signature look:

“The main piece of advice people wanted to give me was to change my look, to make my hair and clothes simpler. “Don’t look so cheap, they would say, or no one would ever take me seriously.

Trolls on social media have said mean things about the Grammy winner’s appearance in tweets over the years. Someone on Twitter said, “Dolly Parton is one ugly lady.”

Another person tweeted something similar and added, “I’d still motorboat those warlocks, though!” The word “ugly” was used by a third person, and the fourth person said it again and wrote, “Dolly Parton is so ugly, but she has nice breasts.”

But the “Queen of Country” hasn’t been bothered by the haters and keeps rocking her style because it fits her. Parton even said, “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap,” which became a famous quote.

Supports Wife of 56 Years In the 1980s, when she was at the top of her game, Parton Parton had a lot of health problems. The singer had a lot of pain and bleeding in her abdomen, and she had to have two surgeries to stop the bleeding.

During the ordeal, Parton started drinking and eating to make herself feel better, and she let her sadness drown her. Because of this, her throat got sore and she couldn’t sing.

She went on an extreme diet, started binge eating, and quickly put on 50 pounds. Parton said in 2017 that she eats a lot for someone who is only 5 feet tall.

The woman from Tennessee liked canned meat and junk food. She could eat three pizzas and still want McDonald’s and French fries.

The cycle kept going until she gained 10 pounds in 10 days. At that point, she chose to starve herself to lose the weight. The toxic pattern wore on her body over time, and doctors told her to lose 20 pounds.

They told her to eat the right food, but she was already hooked on the pattern until she passed out while performing in Indianapolis against their orders. Parton passed out because she was bleeding inside. She had a partial hysterectomy and her tubes were tied because she had endometriosis.

After the surgery, Parton could not have her own children. She and Dean wanted to have six kids, but when she got sick, that dream died. She talked about her scary experience, which helped her slowly get better.

Parton said she didn’t like going on crazy diets, so she got a nip-tuck to make herself look smaller. She said that if something makes someone happy, they should do it.

Her husband, on the other hand, doesn’t mind how she looks and has accepted it. “He doesn’t care if I’m fat,” said Parton, adding:

“I never turned him off. He’s so stupid that he thinks I’m the hottest and most beautiful woman in the world.”

Parton once said that “fat girls” are everyone’s favorite and that she was told to lose a few pounds but refused. She said, “Being fat never made me less money.”

In November 2021, Parton shared a throwback photo with her husband that had never been seen before. Fans went crazy over it, calling her husband “handsome.”

In the picture, they were holding hands, and she wrote in the caption, “Find a partner who will support you like Carl Dean does!”
