Easter is a special time of year when we celebrate life, but our favorite TV host, Jimmy Kimmel, had another reason to be happy on that day. Billy, the youngest, turned two.
Billy was born with a heart condition called congenital heart disease, and he had to have surgery just three days after he came into the world. The family was going through a hard time, but the brave little baby was able to get better. He had his second surgery when he was 7 months old, but he’s doing well now and makes his family happy.
Jimmy talked about his son’s condition in a 2017 monologue. He asked the government to keep paying for the health care of children with preexisting conditions whose families couldn’t afford it on their own.
He also took the chance to thank in public Billy’s doctors and the rest of the medical staff who worked hard to help him get better.
