Most people are aware of the name Richard Gere. The famous actor has been the lead in many movies and is a major crush for millions of people around the world.

Homer Gere, Richard Gere’s father, lives in North Syracuse. On Sunday, he turned 100, and his son and other loved family and friends were there to help him celebrate.
The group went to a restaurant in Armory Square to mark the 100th anniversary of his birth. His son Richard Gere was the most important person at the party.
Pastabilities, one of the square’s oldest restaurants, was where the birthday party was held. Since 1982, people have been able to eat at the restaurant. The restaurant must have been very happy to have a veteran Hollywood actor there because they posted pictures on social media of the actor, his father, and restaurant staff.
They probably posted on Sunday night after 8 p.m., after the party was over. The picture’s caption said, “Richard Gere came to Pasta’s tonight to celebrate his father’s 100th birthday.”
Richard Gere was born in the city of Philadelphia, but he spent most of his childhood in Central New York. He went to North Syracuse High School and graduated from there in 1967. Homer Gere used to sell insurance and help out at the North Syracuse fire department as a volunteer. He also helped out with Meals on Wheels during his life. He lives in North Syracuse still.
Richard still goes back to the area often to see his dad. Doris Gere, his mother and Homer’s wife, died in 2016.
Richard Gere is married to Alejandra Gere. They tied the knot in 2018. Alexander is their older son. In 2020, they will have another son. The couple has decided to keep their kids out of the spotlight, so no one even knows what his youngest son’s name is.
