Brittney Griner’s wife gave a bad report on the WNBA star, saying that Brittney is “not well, she’s losing it.”
Brittney Griner’s wife Cherelle told CNN’s Abby Phillips that Brittney’s time in a Russian prison has not gone well. Phillips said:
“Cherelle Griner said that her meeting with Biden went well. He gave her more faith in what the administration was doing to bring Brittney Griner home. “It gave me faith in what he’s doing right now,” she said.
“Griner said that Biden made a reference to news stories that said the government was willing to trade at least one Russian prisoner in the US for him and another detained American, Paul Wheelan.
“But Biden didn’t go into detail about how a swap would work.
“After meeting with Biden, Cherelle got the impression that negotiations had been hard, but that Biden was determined to get a deal done:
“I don’t think they know for sure what Russia wants in exchange for BG.
“While Cherelle was in prison in Russia, she and BG wrote each other letters.
Cherelle Griner said that her meeting with Biden went well. He made her feel better about the work the administration was doing to bring Brittney Griner home. “It gave me the confidence to trust what he is doing now.”
