The Zammit family is standing their ground and won’t move. No, they won’t sell their land to developers, no matter how much they want it.

They are among the many homeowners who have been forced or pressured to sell family land so that it can be used to build new homes or businesses.

More than $50 million has been given to the Zammits, but they don’t care. They own the land, and they don’t want to leave their Sydney, Australia, home.

When they first bought the land, there were cottages and farms all around it. Over time, more and more neighbors were put under pressure to sell, and the neighborhood turned into a sea of nearly identical new houses stacked on top of each other.

“Each house was different, and there was a lot of room, but not anymore. In an interview with Daily Mail Australia, Dianne Zammit said, “It’s just not the same.”

Watch the video below to see what their property looks like now that it is surrounded by lots of small homes. Do you think it’s a good idea for them to stay?
