The lives of the British royals have always captivated the public, especially during key moments like Prince Charles and Camilla’s affair, Princess Diana’s tragic death, and Megxit. The royal children, particularly Princess Charlotte, attract significant interest as well.
Charlotte, the second child and only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, shares a special bond with her family. While her older brother, Prince George, is second in line for the throne, royal experts suggest that Charlotte may not be a full-time working royal due to King Charles’ desire to streamline the monarchy.
“From what I hear, the Prince and Princess of Wales want Charlotte, aged seven, to grow up with the expectation that she will get a job and not be a full-time royal,” royal expert Richard Eden told the Mirror.
Charlotte’s personality is increasingly shining through, and many see a resemblance to her late grandmother, Princess Diana, not just in looks but in her caring nature as well. On the day of her grandfather’s coronation, she wore a crown for the first time, a significant occasion due to royal rules that typically require royals to be married to wear crowns.
Historian Tessa Dunlop speculated that Charlotte would wear a small coronet, perhaps one worn by the late Queen at her father’s coronation. “Kate loves dressing up her children, so objections are unlikely,” she noted.
To highlight Charlotte’s caring spirit, Prince William and Princess Kate shared Mother’s Day cards made by their children. Charlotte’s touching message to Diana read, “Dear Granny Diana, I am thinking of you on Mother’s Day. I love you very much. Papa is missing you. Lots of love, Charlotte.” George also wrote a heartfelt note, while young Louis contributed with some drawings.
William has shared how he keeps Diana’s memory alive for his children, emphasizing the importance of knowing about their two grandmothers. “We’ve got more photos up around the house now of her, and we talk about her a bit… It’s important that they know who she was and that she existed,” he said.
It’s heartwarming to see the young royals learn about the love and significance of their late grandmother.
