A 12-year-old boy, Sasha, showed immense bravery when he entered a flooded sewer to save a trapped puppy, putting his own safety at risk. His courageous act has touched the hearts of many.
Tatiana, a resident of Rêvé in the Sverdlovsk region, had been feeding a family of dogs near Tchaikovsky Street. After a heavy rainstorm, one of the dogs got stuck in a storm drain, and the sewer became flooded. Tatiana noticed the dog circling the ditch and whining, and upon closer inspection, she saw a puppy struggling in the water. It was clear that the puppy had been trapped for hours, cold and scared, and needed immediate help to avoid drowning.
Tatiana reached out to the police, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Kombytservis, and Antes for assistance, and even contacted friends and strangers, but no help arrived. As time passed, a group of young people walked by and, without hesitation, agreed to help. Among them was Sasha, who bravely entered the flooded sewer to rescue the puppy.
Despite the dangerous conditions, Sasha successfully freed the puppy, though he suffered minor injuries in the process and required medical attention afterward. His selfless act of courage quickly gained attention on social media, and many people were moved by his bravery. Some even suggested that the Youth Work Center recognize him with an honorary certificate for his daring actions.
