My husband’s 19-year-old daughter refuses to move out, even though it’s time for her to leave my home. In return for allowing her to stay, I asked her to babysit our two-year-old while my husband and I worked full-time. Her response was, “I’m not your free nanny; I have my own life!” My husband didn’t say a word.
The following day, I came home to find my baby’s crib empty, and no one was in the house. Panicking, I called my husband. He told me he had rented a small studio apartment and planned to move in with his daughter because I had “kicked her out.”
He said I could pick up our child but decided to stay with his daughter since she has no one else.
I was furious and told him that his daughter had become entitled, treating my home as a free place to stay without contributing. It’s been a week since my husband left, and he hasn’t returned. I’m at a loss for what to do.
