A Father’s Quick Thinking
During a late-night drive in my family’s station wagon, our tire suddenly blew out. To my surprise, my father didn’t stop but instead kept driving at high speeds on the flat tire. Eventually, the tire completely wore away, leaving us riding on the rim. The situation felt unusual, and later, my father revealed what had happened.

He had seen a man toss a string of nails onto the road ahead—an intentional act meant to force drivers to stop so they could be robbed or carjacked. Realizing the danger, my father made the decision to keep going, ensuring our safety.

The Gramophone Mystery
Another peculiar experience happened when my friends and I stumbled upon an abandoned house. Curiosity got the better of us, and we ventured inside, exploring every room in search of something intriguing. On the second floor, we found an old, broken gramophone covered in a thick layer of dust. We didn’t touch anything, deciding instead to leave after our brief exploration.

As we were exiting the house, an eerie sound stopped us in our tracks—the gramophone began playing softly. I asked my friends if they had heard it too, and they confirmed they did. None of us had touched the antique, leaving us spooked and wondering what could have caused it to spring to life.
