In 1983, 24-year-old Patricia Clarke was already familiar with the prospect of having big babies, given her family history. However, nothing could have prepared her for the sheer size of the baby she was carrying. Patricia gave birth to Kevin Robert Clark, whose extraordinary size made headlines across New Jersey.

Despite his impressive stature, Kevin was perfectly healthy. He was so large that he couldn’t fit into a standard cot, and even newborn baby clothes were far too small. From the start, his size captured attention, and soon he became a national sensation. Kevin was featured on popular shows like Saturday Night Live and Good Morning America, further solidifying his fame.

Kevin’s growth showed no signs of slowing down. By age 12, he was already 5 feet 7 inches tall, and by the time he entered junior high, he had reached a towering 6 feet 5 inches. He continued to grow and eventually embraced the curiosity his height sparked. “There isn’t a day that goes by when someone doesn’t ask me how tall I am,” Kevin shared with the New York Post. “I like to joke that I’m 5-foot-21. When people ask if I play basketball, I ask them if they play miniature golf.”

Now 40, Kevin stands at an incredible 6 feet 9 inches tall. He lives with his 6-foot-tall wife and their Great Dane, having adjusted to a life of towering over most people. A former soldier, Kevin takes everything in stride—literally—with his long, confident steps.
