I was giving away clothes to a little girl around two or three years old when I received a message from a mother in need. She explained that she was going through a difficult time and that her daughter had nothing to wear. She asked if I could mail the clothes to her.
At first, I hesitated, thinking she might be able to pick them up. But then I reminded myself—who am I to judge what she’s going through?
So, I sent the clothes at my own expense.
A year later, a surprise package arrived. Inside were almonds, dried salmon, homemade marmalade, and other treats. It was from the same woman.
She shared that her hard times had passed—her husband had landed a great job, and they were doing well. As a gesture of gratitude, she was giving back to those who had supported her in her darkest moments.
It was unexpected and truly heartwarming.
